Code of Conduct

Draft v0.1 — 6 November 2026 — for review before publication

PAPASITO is la familia: a brotherhood of men 40+ built on joy, loyalty and respect. This code sets out how we treat each other at crew check-ins, Sunday tables, rides, events and in every online space we run. By joining, you agree to live by it.

It comes down to one idea: show up for your brothers the way you'd want them to show up for you.

1. Respect every brother

  • Treat everyone with dignity, whatever their background, culture, religion, sexuality, politics, job, income, health or life story.
  • No harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats or violence. Not in person, not online, not "as a joke".
  • No discrimination, hate speech, or slurs.
  • Disagree with the idea, never attack the man.
  • Partners, kids and families at our events are guests of the familia. Treat them that way.

2. What's said in the crew stays in the crew

  • Don't share another member's story, struggles or personal details outside the crew without his permission.
  • No screenshots or recordings of private conversations or group chats without everyone's consent.
  • The one exception is safety. If someone may be at risk of serious harm, safety comes first. See our Crisis Response & Safeguarding Policy.

3. Listen first, fix second

  • Give people space to talk without interrupting, judging or competing.
  • Share from your own experience ("what helped me was…") rather than lecturing.
  • We are peers, not doctors. Don't diagnose, and don't advise anyone to stop treatment or medication. Encourage professional help when it's needed.

4. Back each other — the right way

The "Back each other" spirit is about genuinely helping. It isn't a sales floor.

  • Endorse and refer people honestly. Only vouch for what you know.
  • No unsolicited selling, pitching, recruiting or multi-level marketing. Business offers go in the channels set aside for them, or by invitation.
  • Be upfront about any commission or benefit you get from a referral.
  • Never pressure a brother for money, loans or investment.

5. Look after yourself and others at events

  • Alcohol: enjoy responsibly. Being drunk and disruptive isn't welcome. Make sure no one drinks and drives.
  • Drugs: illegal drugs have no place at PAPASITO events.
  • Rides and adventures: follow road rules and safety briefings. No street racing, no reckless driving, no pressure on anyone to go beyond his comfort or ability.
  • Physical activities: know your limits and tell the organiser about anything that affects your safety.
  • Photos: ask before you post a brother's photo, and respect a "no".

6. Online spaces

  • The same code applies in group chats, forums and social media.
  • Keep it real, keep it kind. No graphic, explicit or hateful content.
  • Don't share content that could put anyone at risk.
  • Group chats aren't monitored 24/7. In an emergency, call 000. Don't rely on a chat to get help.

7. Speaking for PAPASITO

Only the founder, or people he authorises, can speak to media or partners on behalf of PAPASITO, or use the PAPASITO name and logo commercially.

8. If something's not right

If you experience or see behaviour that breaks this code:

  • If you feel safe to, raise it with the person directly and respectfully.
  • Otherwise, tell your crew leader or the founder at [hello@papasito.com.au]. Reports are handled confidentially and fairly.
  • If anyone is in danger, call 000 first.

9. What happens if the code is broken

Depending on how serious it is, we may:

  1. have a quiet conversation and agree on a way forward
  2. issue a formal warning
  3. suspend someone from events or online spaces
  4. end their membership (refunding any unused paid period)

Serious incidents such as violence, threats, or harassment of members or families may lead to immediate removal and, where appropriate, a report to police. Anyone affected by a decision can ask the founder to review it.

10. The PAPASITO Code

Behind all of this is our Code: be Purpose-driven, Ambitious, Principled, Audacious, Self-loving, Independent, Tenacious and Original. Live it, and you'll never need the rest of this page.

No man left on the road.
